Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a relatively new intervention in the UK developed by Gary Craig in the USA. The roots of EFT came from Dr Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy (TFT) using acupuncture meridians (no needles involved) and kinesiology principles.
EFT has been described as a natural, non-invasive, safe and effective way to eliminate the cause of negative emotions by correcting energy imbalances in the body. These imbalances have profound effects on our mind and emotions. Correcting these imbalances, which is done by tapping with your fingers on certain meridian points on the body, often leads to rapid relief. This well established technique helps restore life balance and energy flow.
EFT does not claim to remove problems, what it does is removes the negative emotional feeling and charge associated with the problem. This technique has helped thousands of people to cope with and manage difficulties very effectively.
EFT can be used on:
- Simple anxiety and stress.
- Simple phobias.
- Past traumas, love, pain, grief, guilt.
- Addictive urges and cravings to help free addictions to cigarettes, chocolate etc.
- Anger and rage.
- Inducing Rapid Relaxation.
- Obsession/compulsions (OCD).
- Physical pain.
- Fear and panic.
- Intense feelings that hold you back.
- Negative emotions and limiting beliefs.
EFT can be self administered. You will be taught how to do this effectively during your sessions with Julie so that you can continue to work to remove blockages in the comfort or your own home, or when you need to.
